Everyone will face times of stress and challenge in their lives. It is the way you react to the challenges and setbacks that life brings that determines how resilient you are. Stress can overwhelm your defences despite you best efforts at coping. Over time, the cumulative effects of multiple stressors, small and large, can combine to wear you out before you’ve had a chance to get started.
Emotional resilience involves a combination of competencies which allow a person to be aware of, to understand, and to be in control of their own emotions, to recognise and understand the emotions of others, and to use this knowledge to foster their success and the success of others.
People with highly developed emotional resilience are proven to be more successful in the workplace because they understand their emotions. They can overcome emotional obstacles and understand why others feel the way they do. They resolve conflict quickly, recover rapidly from setbacks, are good in a crisis, strong communicators and successful where others fail.
We can all learn to be more emotionally resilient. Our half day workshop will help you learn the tools and knowledge needed to grow your emotional intelligence to stay motivated and focused.
